Kris Humphries Scammed
We find from People magazine that Kris Humphries was scammed out of hundreds of thousands of dollars by an investment scheme that turned out to be fraudulent. Andrey Hicks (a guest of the Kardashian wedding) convinced individuals like Kris to invest in a supposed $1.7 billion hedge fund called Locust Offshore Fund, Ltd. Andrey lied to his investors by saying he graduated from Harvard and had previous work experience from Barclays Capital. He told investors that his firm's strategies were based on mathematical models he was taught at Harvard when in fact he only stayed there for a year after failing out of classes twice. Kris's rep says, "Kris Humphries is a victim of an investment fraud. He is working with law enforcement authorities and will not have any further comment until the matter is resolved."
Michael Lohan Denied Bail
Michael Lohan violated a restraining order placed upon him by girlfriend, Kate Major, after his release from jail for assaulting her. This extra jail time killed his dreams of a TV appearance on Dr. Drew's Celebrity Rehab to discuss this daughter's drug habits. Glad to see his priorities are in the right place...apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
